Relaxing under the porch after a delicious lunch is one of the best things in life. Especially when mountains draw shapes on the landscape and cut clouds high in the sky.

A true paradise.

Freddy, my uncle's dog, glazes over a few times to ensure the situation is under control. Nobody can get near the hammock without Freddy's approval.

Everything is so perfect here.

But I'm not happy.

I'm staring at the horizon, wondering why a few days off turned into weeks of unproductive time.

You know, the kind of days when you have an endless list of tasks waiting for you and procrastinate for no reason.

I thought I had already beaten that monster. Instead, I'm after cheap dopamine, looking at what other people do on social media.

My motivation is still high, but I'm running low on energy.

This could be the backlash after pushing for months.

It must be.

I fought with it for a while before exhaling.

Freddy arched his back in a spasm of pleasure as my foot barely touched him.

And we fell asleep.

Yesterday evening, the long-awaited wake-up call.

Following weeks of struggles, I needed to be fully present in one activity and shut my thoughts out for once.

Cutting fresh zucchini picked up from the garden distracted me enough to realize it.

Until June, my goals were razor-sharp: launching two SaaS.

Each one was either a 0 or 1 task.

Done or not done.

Now, there's so much clutter on the plate. Worries, mainly, but also the need to push these businesses and make them thrive.

That's when a recollection of a book came to say hi.

"Worrying about the future makes us unable to focus on the present."

I can't control my thoughts.

Yet, I can bring clarity by striking most of the future activities from the task list. Less is more, they say.

Done.

You bet it made me feel already better.

So this is it.

My little nudge if you're struggling right now.

Sometimes, you need to take a step back to move forward.

And remember to savor every second of your journey.
